Get Job Status

Fetch the current status (and result, once finished) of an async verify job by its jobId. Use this to poll when you can't receive webhooks, or to reconcile a delivery you may have missed.

A job can only be read by the branch that created it. A jobId belonging to another branch returns the same 404 JOB_NOT_FOUND as a non-existent one (so job IDs can't be enumerated across branches).

Job records are retained for 7 days after creation, then expire.

Terminal outcomes

• done means verification finished with result.status: "success" or "not_found". Exhausted not-found retries are not a failed job.
• failed means verification could not complete; error.code/message match the failure callback. Sending that callback successfully does not change the job to done.
• Delivery failure preserves the verification error and adds error.webhook: "failed" plus delivery details. A done job can also contain a delivery-only error.
• result wraps { status, data }; the verified slip is inside result.data.

Returned both when the jobId doesn't exist and when it belongs to another branch.

Notes

• Status values: queued → processing → done; a transient failure moves to retrying, and a permanently failed job ends at failed.
• Prefer webhooks for delivery; use polling as a fallback or reconciliation path.
• Job records expire 7 days after creation.
